Dealing with Autism

Dear Parents,

This is a word that I hear more and more everyday.

Autism is a developmental disorder affecting children from birth or the early months of life. It results in delay in, and deviance from, the normal patterns of development¹. These occur in three areas of behaviour:

· Social relationships and interactions
· Language and communication.
· Activities and interests.

Martial Arts can help these children to cope with life. It can and will over time give them the tools and confidence to go forward in the world.
